ESP - Compliance History

ESP Security Compliance Trending

For many organizations documenting, verifying, reporting, and consolidating security compliance metrics can become a significant task often done manually or with inefficient tools. With ESP, these processes are a part of the platform’s capabilities.

ESP-managed hosts continuously report detailed information about their configuration, processes, activities, risk exposure, and security policy compliance to the ESP server. That data is automatically analyzed, consolidated, correlated, scored, and stored for reporting purposes. Unbiased, data-driven compliance trends for any given policy (whether positive or negative) are immediately visible to the administrators.

The retained compliance, risk as well as other types of data is used to generate a variety of real-time as well as overtime historical reports. These can be high-level overviews of the state of organization to minute dissection of the results for individual technical controls. Historic compliance reports can be generated with an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly granularity. These reports can be viewed from the Management Console or can be scheduled to be generated at specific points in time and exported in a variety of formats, or be automatically emailed to the security operations team, to management or internal/external auditors.

Because the ESP Management Console provides administrators with an easy overview of how security compliance scores have evolved over time, IT teams can demonstrate continuous security posture improvements to management and auditors thus reducing overall compliance cost and time-to-compliance.
